This is the life... ahh...

Christmas... was uneventful to say the least. Though I did receive a few model kits and got my mom a laptop. No fancy dinner or anything.

I assembled the 1/35 Guren Mk-II; no painting, just plain cutting pieces off the tree and snapping them together. Unfortunately, I lack the funds to buy an airbrush, so I'm avoiding painting anything that's metallic. Not to mention that it's way too cold to open the windows to get proper ventilation (I don't want my brain cells suffocating and dying on me). Overall, I actually like how the Guren turned out, even if it's a bit small for my liking and the fact that the Slash Harken won't stay put (gravity is a pain sometimes). The GAT-X207 Blitz will probably be the next one I assemble, complete with the paint and putty seaming come February, when the weather isn't that insanely cold.

I hate the technical portions of piano... 'nuff said. I don't care if I can 'lay my baroque pieces well,' I want my contemporary & 19th/20th century romance pieces.

What I find a bit odd is that I always come up with an extra couple of screws when I replaced the laptop. I think I have about 6 screws (which is probably a bad thing), but I have no idea where they came from. Not to mention that a few metal pieces are rusting over. Whatever, the important thing is that the machine can still hold itself together and that I can still get past the BIOS and reach the log in screen.

Other than that, I've been going through a Code Geass marathon with my mom, who, oddly enough, actually likes the anime. I really need to buy the boxsets now, if they even sell any around where I live. All they carry around here is DBZ and Pokemon stuff, so I was pretty shocked when I saw Evangelion 1.0 (of The Rebuild of Evangelion) at Best Buy.
